ALYSSIUN VIEWER Local only

ALYSSIUN VIEWER · PRIVATE 3D INSPECTION

Understand a 3D model before you use it.

Open common 3D files, move around them, inspect geometry and materials, test camera behavior, and capture a clear image—without uploading the model to a viewing service.

.glb.gltf.obj.stl
An architectural 3D model shown partly finished and partly in wireframe inside a private model inspection space.
Finished surfaces and wireframe structure can be reviewed in one focused workspace.

IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

A Viewer is a private inspection room for a 3D file.

You do not need to import the model into a full editor just to see whether it opens correctly. ALYSSIUN VIEWER gives the model a neutral stage and gives you the controls needed to look around it.

It is useful before publishing, before sending a model to a client, after receiving an export, or whenever you need to understand what is actually inside a 3D asset.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps from file to confident review.

Everything begins with files you choose. Viewer does not search your device or upload content in the background.

01

Choose files or a folder

Select a self-contained GLB or include the supporting files required by GLTF and OBJ models.

02

Open the library card

Viewer creates a local library entry and prepares a thumbnail when the browser can render it.

03

Inspect the model

Orbit around the object, fly through larger scenes, adjust the lens, and review model statistics.

04

Capture or continue

Take a screenshot, return to the library, or keep the asset available in this browser for another session.

SUPPORTED FILES

Choose the model and its dependencies together.

A dependency is another file the main model needs, such as a texture image, material file, or geometry buffer.

GLBUsually one self-contained file. The easiest format to move and review.
GLTFChoose the .gltf together with its .bin file and texture images.
OBJChoose the .obj with its .mtl material file and referenced textures.
STLGeometry-focused format commonly used for fabrication and 3D printing checks.

VIEWER CONTROLS

Every control answers a practical inspection question.

Orbit and zoom

Rotate around the model and move closer to inspect surfaces and details.

Fly mode

Move through buildings, environments, and other scenes where an outside orbit is not enough.

Lens

Change the camera lens to understand how wide or compressed the scene appears.

Velocity

Slow down for detailed interiors or move faster across a large environment.

Inertia

Control whether camera movement stops immediately or keeps a smoother sense of drift.

Animations

Pause or resume animation clips when the selected model contains supported motion.

Asset details

Review format, file size, vertex count, and triangle count when available.

Screenshot

Save a clean image of the current view for review notes or communication.

WHAT “LOCAL” MEANS

Your model is processed on your device.

When you choose a file, browser code reads it locally to render the preview. The local library uses browser storage on the current device; it is not a cloud library and does not automatically appear on another device.

  • No automatic uploadViewer does not send selected model files to ALYSSIUN servers.
  • Device-specific libraryClearing browser data can remove locally saved Viewer assets.
  • You control removalUse Clear all when you want to delete the local Viewer library.

WHO USES IT

A simple review surface for many kinds of work.

Designers

Check an export, material appearance, framing, and animation before handoff.

Architects

Move through a building or object and review scale, structure, and presentation.

Clients and reviewers

Open a model without learning a full authoring tool or creating a project.

Students and makers

Understand downloaded assets and inspect STL geometry before fabrication.

IF A MODEL LOOKS WRONG

Start with the supporting files.

  1. Missing textures?Choose the texture images together with the GLTF or OBJ model.
  2. OBJ has no materials?Include its MTL file and confirm the filenames still match.
  3. Model seems empty? It may be very large, very small, far from its origin, or use unsupported data.
  4. Large file is slow?Give the browser time to read and prepare it; complex geometry depends on device memory and graphics capability.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you open your first model.

Do I need an ALYSSIUN Account?

No account is required for the local Viewer workflow.

Can another person see my local library?

Not through Viewer. Files remain in the browser storage of the device where you added them.

Does Viewer edit the model?

No. Viewer is for opening, navigating, inspecting, and capturing a visual reference—not changing source geometry.

Will my library sync between devices?

No. Local-only storage is intentionally tied to the current browser and device.

START LOCAL

One model is enough to begin.

Choose a GLB, or bring a complete model folder, and Viewer will guide you into the local library.
